According to the report, "Sexual Victimization in Juvenile Facilities Reporter by Youth, 2008-09", there are, in the USA, 13 detention centers for children where nearly 1 out of 3 inmates have reported being victims of child abuse.

3. Child abusers can be that apparently growing number of people who get involved in violence?

Dr. Trude Lash and Dr. Heidi Sigal found in their study of child abuse in New York City that the incidence of child abuse increased 1026 % between 1964 and 1974. (Article: Child Abuse in America: Slaughter of the Innocents)

In the USA, in 1975, 166 infants less than a year old were murdered, 327 children between the ages of one and four were murdered, 142 children between the ages of five and nine were murdered, and 205 children between the ages of ten and fourteen were murdered.

It is often powerful people, working for governments, who abuse children.

According to Wikipedia, approximately 15% to 25% of women and 5% to 15% of men were sexually abused when they were children.[11][12][13][14][15]

Most sexual abuse offenders are acquainted with their victims; approximately 30% are relatives of the child, most often brothers, fathers, uncles or cousins; around 60% are other acquaintances such as friends of the family, babysitters, or neighbors; strangers are the offenders in approximately 10% of child sexual abuse cases.[11]

Most child sexual abuse is committed by men; studies show that women commit 14% to 40% of offenses reported against boys and 6% of offenses reported against girls.[11][12][16]

In India, in 2007, the Ministry of Women and Child Development published the "Study on Child Abuse: India 2007."[158]

The study's[158] main findings included: 53.22% of children reported having faced sexual abuse. Among them 52.94% were boys and 47.06% girls.

What about satanic ritual abuse?

In 1991, police in Perth, in Australia, linked Scott Gozenton, a Satanist, with organized child sexual abuse.

His lawyer claimed 13 satanic covens existed in the area, holding orgies involving children [1] (List of satanic ritual abuse allegations.)

Victims of the German Nazis

In 2001, the Melbourne diocese of the Catholic Church acknowledged as "substantially true" allegations that a Melbourne priest took part in Satanic ritual abuse in which a number of deaths occurred in the 1960s, and paid compensation to a surviving victim.

In 1999, two journalists from Australia's Sun-Herald claimed to have seen evidence of the ritual abuse of children.

They interviewed six mothers whose children had disclosed experiences of SRA and organised abuse in New South Wales.

The children's disclosures were corroborating, although they had never met one another, and they had been able to draw representations of "satanic" ritual sites which were similar to ritual sites uncovered by police on the central coast of New South Wales. During the investigation of Belgian serial killer Marc Dutroux, a number of women approached police claiming to be adult survivors of a network of sexual offenders. One witness described satanic ceremonies. (List of satanic ritual abuse allegations. )

In the early 1990s, in Brazil, Osvaldo Marcineiro confessed to murdering a number of young children in Satanic rituals. A number of top people were arrested in relation to the murders, and it later emerged that they had paid the cult to conduct the murderous ceremonies. In 1998, in Italy, six adults in Emilia-Romagna were arrested with allegations of prostituting their children. The children were reported to be involved in satanic rituals.

In 2002, four people were arrested for "satanism and paedophilia" in Pescara.

In 2007, six people were arrested for sexually abusing fifteen children in Rignano Flaminio. The suspects were accused of filming the children engaged in sexual acts with 'satanic' overtones. (List of satanic ritual abuse allegations. )

In 1989 a group of parents published allegations that their children had witnessed Satanic Ritual Abuse and had been ritually abused from May 1987 until October 1988 in Oude Pekela, a city in the north-eastern province of Groningen, the Netherlands. (List of satanic ritual abuse allegations. )

Reportedly, very powerful people would like us to think that there is no satanic child abuse.

In the UK, a government report concluded that satanic abuse does take place.

The report is the work of Dr John Hale, director of the Portman Clinic in London, and psychotherapist Valerie Sinason.

The report said that victims are not suffering from "false memory syndrome".

The report examined the experiences of 50 "survivors".

Valerie Sinason has treated 126 ritual abuse survivors.

She said that in many cases children were tortured by being held under water or made to believe they had witnessed the murder of infants as part of the satanic ritual.

She said: "Some children are born for the purpose of abuse and are not registered on birth certificates.

"The abusers use trickery to convince children they have taken part in murder. This increases the power of the abuser."

The report was welcomed by Dr Joan Coleman, a psychiatrist who has spent 14 years treating victims.

She said: "A lot of children are born into satanic families who indulge in this ritual abuse.

"It's only now that child sexual abuse is being exposed that people are beginning to believe ritual abuse exists."

In 1990, the UK's National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children reported that, of 66 child protection teams in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, 14 teams had received reports of ritual abuse from children and seven of them were working directly with children who had been ritually abused, sometimes in groups of 20.
