An armed group attacks a person who owed Rs. 300 lakhs to Namal (alias Baba Namal) !

An individual who had owed a sum of Rs. 300 lakhs to the President’s eldest son and parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa had been inhumanly attacked recently near the SSC grounds by a group of armed persons.

The person who was subjected to the attack is a racketeer called Rohan. He had returned to the country recently from overseas. It is learnt that he had been closely affiliated to Namal and had been a frequent visitor to Temple Trees. However, First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa had banned him from Temple Trees after hearing that he was engaged in providing beautiful young girls to Namal.

Nevertheless, Rohana had secretly continued with his friendship with Namal and had also managed to earn millions of rupees by taking part in several government tenders. He had however paid only Rs. 200 lakhs to Namal out of a commission of Rs. 500 lakhs for the government contracts taken over by him. Afterwards, Rohana had traveled overseas.

After arriving in the country a few weeks back, Rohana had contacted another racketeer closely affiliated to himself and Naamal called Suresh Edirisinghe and said that he was agreeable to pay part of the money owed by him to Namal. He had added that he would take measures to settle the total amount due to Namal as soon as possible.

Rohana had asked that Namal be informed of his agreement and not to harass him until then.
After discussing the matter with Namal, Suresh Edirisinghe had informed Rohana to come near the SSC ground to reach an agreement. Rohana had arrived at the place on time and Namal had also arrived a few minutes later in a vehicle with dark tinted shutters.

Rohana had then given Namal a bag full of money. Several of Namal’s security personnel who were dressed in civvies had attacked Rohana in an inhumane manner. Although Suresh Edirisinghe had tried to stop the attack, he had not been successful. Once Rohana had agreed to pay the balance money within two days to Namal, the hugs had stopped assaulting him.

However, Rohana had fled the country in fear for his life.
