JVP Loses Tissamaharama and Placed 3rd !
The JVP has lost the Tissamaharama Pradeshiya Sabha which was previously held by them. The UPFA has obtained the power of the PS with 14,523 votes with seven seats, while the UNP received 8,344 votes with three seats. The JVP has received 7,767 votes with only two seats. So far the JVP has not able to win any council in 2011 election.

Percy Mahinda has assigned Minister and Thug MEryn Silva, Wimal Weerawansa and Chandana Kathriarachchi ( who was recently released from murder charges ) to campaign for the government in the Tissamaharama Pradeshiya Sabha to prevent the JVP from winning it.
Percy Mahinda had advised these persons to somehow ensure a UPFA victory in the Tissamaharama Pradeshiya Sabha. Minister Mervyn Silva and Chandana Kathriarachchi have already arrived in Tissamaharama with their underworld thugs and murderers
It is learnt that they are trying to create a fear psychosis in the area.
