It is not just in the USA that such odd things happen.
Teoh Beng Hock (1979–2009) was a Malaysian journalist.
On 15 July 2009, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) took Teoh 'into custody' for questioning.
Teoh was found dead the next morning on the rooftop of a building adjacent to the MACC offices.
It is suspected that Teoh was murdered by people within the Anti-Corruption Commission because he knew too much about corruption.

Abdul Razak Baginda, and three members of the Malaysian Police counter-terrorism unit working for the Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak, were arrested after the murder.

This was at a time when the CIA had decided to destabilise Indonesia.
Sukarno was seen by the CIA as not being sufficiently pro-American.

This speech may be linked to what appear to be recent 'foreign' attempts to destabilise Malaysia.
But, it could be argued that certain Malaysian politicians, without any foreign help, are destabilising Malaysia by being thoroughly corrupt.
Malaysia is one of the success stories of Asia. Will its economy thrive in spite of its leaders?
