Clashes Irupts as Iran protests continue against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

-Demonstrators were rallying to demand the release of two opposition leaders, according to the witnesses and an opposition web portal-

Iranian forces fired teargas and clashed with supporters of the opposition in central Tehran Area. where demonstrators were rallying to demand the release of two opposition leaders, according to witnesses and an opposition web portal.


"Security forces and people in civilian clothes clashed with demonstrators in Tehran to disperse them," opposition website Kaleme reported about Tuesday's events.


Kaleme said protesters rallied at several points in the capital, chanting "death to the dictator" and calling on authorities to free Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mahdi Karroubi.


Former presidential candidates Mousavi and Karoubi have not been seen in public since they called for a rally on February 14, during which thousands of their supporters took to the streets to support uprisings in the Arab world.




Family members and opposition activists say the two leaders have moved from house arrest to a Tehran prison along with their wives. Iranian authorities deny the reports. Sahamnews, another opposition website, reported large numbers of security personnel stationed at main streets and squares in Tehran "to prevent gathering of opposition supporters."





Iranian Authority has said it will not respond to international questions about the whereabouts of the opposition leaders. Some fear that they must be assulating them very brutally.


Tehran considers the matter a "completely domestic" affair, said Ramin Mehmanparast, the foreign ministry spokesman .


Mehmanparast said any "issues relating to" Mousavi and Karroubi "will be dealt in the framework of law by judicial authorities".


The semiofficial news agency ISNA quoted prosecutor Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejehi as saying that the two men are not in a prison, but the report gave no further details.


Mousavi and Karroubi's suspected detention comes after the country's former reformist president, Mohammad Khatami, called on the authorities to release them.


Karroubi, Mousavi and their wives were under house arrest and living in complete isolation, their homes under surveillance and cut off from the outside world, according to their websites.




Calls for protests


The February 14 protests, the first to be held since February last year, angered the authorities who accused Mousavi and Karroubi of treason, according to opposition websites.


Mousavi and Karroubi had previously led a string of protests in Iran after president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's controversial re-election in June 2009, which they claim was rigged.


Meanwhile, calls continued on social media sites for opposition rallies in Tehran, where security forces and plainclothes militiamen were deployed in efforts to stamp out any protest gatherings.


On Tuesday, witnesses said several people were arrested after police fired teargas on demonstrators in central Tehran.


The atmosphere was reportedly "volatile" in Valiasr Square and street and Enqelab Street in Tehran, the Iran Students Committe said. "Security forces and riot police are stationed all along the streets and intersections," the group said in a statement.


Clashes between protesters and security forces during the recent demonstrations have killed two and wounded dozens.

1. In 1996, Tunisian Minister of Justice Sadok Chaabane said that Tunisian Islamists get their funding and political support from (1) Iran (2) Saudi Arabia.

The local people refused to join the revolt.

According to the Shah, in his memoir Answer to History, General Robert Huyser, a top NATO official, came to Iran, unannounced, with the primary mission of paralyzing the Iranian the army.[27]

On 19 January 1980, the International Herald Tribune reported that the Shah had said, two years before he was overthrown, that he had heard from two different sources connected with oil companies that the regime in Iran would change.

‘We believe that there was a plan to ensure less oil was offered to the world markets in order to bring about a price,’ said the Shah. ‘One country was to be chosen for the sacrifice... Reportedly, the CIA and MI6 toppled the Shah because he had become too much of a nationalist, like Nasser, and was not following instructions on oil.

The CIA did not want left-wing democrats taking over from the Shah as they might not be easy to control. So, reportedly, the CIA allowed the Ayatollahs to take over.

Radio Free Iran claimed that while at Qom, the Ayatollah Khomeini received a "monthly stipend from the British, and he is in constant contact with his masters, the British."

- He moved to shut down the lucrative opium industry that had been created during the days of British Empire control that had been running for a hundred years....

In post-war Poland that nation was completely dominated by Jewish communists: the torturer Jacek Rozanski, head of the Secret Police; the Politboro commander Jacob Berman

Solomon Morel : commandant of a post-war Communist concentration camp for Germans in Poland. Stalin deliberately put Jews in charge of such camps. Morel is comfortably esconsed in Tel Aviv.

Zborowski, a medical researcher, murdered a dissident with a poisoned orange at the Soviet-run hospital in Paris. Zborowski was implicated in several other assassinations in 1936 and 1937. In the 1940s worked for both the American Jewish Committee and the KGB. In the 1960s Zborowski worked as a medical researcher at Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco. He trained numerous psychiatrists and medical specialists in the Bay Area. He died in 1990 (cf.
