According to The Economist, 31 March 2011:

1. During the last ten years, Peru’s GDP has grown by over 5% a year.

The number of Peruvians living in poverty fell from 49% in 2004 to 35% in 2009.

Between 2005 and 2010 Peru climbed 24 places in the United Nations Human Development Report.

2. Peru has been helped by the rise in price of minerals.

Peru is the world's largest silver producer, second in copper and zinc and sixth in gold.

Alan García, the president since 2006, is to stand down.

His approval rating is 26%.

García poured money into roads rather than social programmes.

4. A fifth of Peruvians lack access to piped water.

Almost a fifth of children are malnourished.

5. Peru is the world’s biggest exporter of cocaine.

Peru's murder rate tripled between 2002 and 2008.

6. In the coming elections the front-runner is now Ollanta Humala.

Humala is a populist former army officer.

Humala appeals to the poor.

Humala has ties to Venezuela’s Chávez.

Humala's policies look like those of Brazil's Lula.

7. One of Humala's rivals is Ms Keiko Fujimori, whose father is serving a 25-year sentence for human-rights abuses.

8. Another candidate is Alejandro Toledo, accused by his critics of heavy drinking and cocaine use, which he denies.

9. Another candidate is Pedro Kuczynski a former IMF official and investment banker. He holds an American passport.

Honk Bonk Man alerted us to Mossad's Paul Lir Alexander (Paul Rothstein), a cocaine baron involved in Iran-Contra and 'child porn'.



Mossad sent Rothstein to São Paulo in Brasil.



There he set up a 'one girl talent' agency.



The 'one girl' was Xuxa (Maria da Graça Meneghel).



Xuxa, in the movie Amor Estranho Amor (Love Strange Love), plays the part of a prostitute who seduces a 13 year old boy.

Rothstein, like David Headley, worked for the US Drugs Enforcement Administration.

In 1982 Rothstein was in Nicaragua helping Lt. Col. Oliver North during the Iran-Contra Affair.

He worked alongside CIA agents who were getting cocaine from Pablo Escobar through General Manuel Noriega and smuggling it into the USA for sale to street gangs on the East and West Coast.

After Nicaragua, Mossad sent Rothstein to São Paulo, Brasil, where he developed Xuxa into a rock and roll super star.

The drug smuggling continued.

He bought a home in North Miami Beach and maintained close ties with the CIA.

His drug smuggling made good profits.

He had a $5 million dollar group of condominiums in Rio de Janeiro, a million dollar house in North Miami Beach, a private jet, a $25 million dollar yacht in Monte Carlo and a 64,000-acre ranch in Mato Grosso, Brasil.

At age 15, Xuxa was followed home by a magazine publisher who invited her to become a model.

She became a centerfold in Playboy.

Aged 20 she was given her own TV show, Clube da Criança (Children's Club).

She became a film star and continued to make TV programmes with children.

In 2000, the Israeli Vice Consul in Rio de Janeiro, Arie Scher, fled from Brazil and returned to Israel.

Scher was being investigated in connection with child sex allegations.

Pornographic pictures and videotapes of young children had reportedly been filmed at Scher's house.

Reportedly, Arie Scher was head of a child prostitution ring which recruited girls as young as nine years old and organized sex parties with the children for Israeli tourists.

Reuters reported: “Police said a young girl testified she was filmed and photographed by the teacher, Georges Schteinberg, having sex with Israeli tourists. The Obama regime reportedly turns a blind eye to the political activities of the Haitian drugs gangsters and a political party linked to drugs.

The Obama regime supports the idea of banning the good guys, the anti-drugs Fanmi Lavalas party of Jean-Bertrand Aristide, from taking part in elections. (Haiti )

Aristide exposed the bad guys involved in the drugs trade.

He sought to raise the minimum wage in Haiti.

He fought against the imposition by the World Bank and the IMF of the privatization of public enterprises.

On 19 December 2009, there was a meeting of the 'bad guys', the Front for National Reconstruction (FRN), at a hotel in Port au Prince. (Indicted Paramilitary Leader Holds Meeting in Haiti)

The FRN helped oust Aristide in a CIA backed coup in 2004.

The FRN is led by Guy Philippe who was indicted in 2005 for conspiring to import cocaine into the United States and money laundering.

Philippe remains on a wanted list of the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).

Philippe escaped from a high-profile DEA raid in July 2007.

Philippe openly held an FRN meeting in the capital and the DEA stayed away.

How might the Obama regime protect the drugs trade in Haiti?

On 15 January 2010, Michel Chossudovsky, at Global Research, has an article entitled 'The Militarization of Emergency Aid to Haiti: Is it a Humanitarian Operation or an Invasion?'

The US will be sending nine to ten thousand troops to Haiti, including 2000 marines.

This decision was made unilaterally by Washington.

US Air Force already controls the Airport.

Haiti has been under foreign military occupation since the US organised 2004 Coup d'Etat.

In the months leading up to the 2004 Coup, US special forces and the CIA were training death squadrons composed of the former tonton macoute of the Duvalier era.
