Who does not know Osama Bin Laden - terrorist fugitives most wanted and most hated. He became the mastermind of terror attacks 11 September 2001 that killed thousands of people.

Like Omar, he dreamed of a Hollywood star, singer or movie star. "Although relatives, I had nothing to do with him (Osama). But, because he, the Western world hates me, on the contrary, because I chose to apply Western values, the people of Saudi Arabia hates me," said Wafah Dufour.
Wafah is also a singer. In fact he ever gig in London and collaborated with the 'Black Lips', a rock group from Atlanta. Who Wafah Dufour, Anyway?

 

Born in Los Angeles, California, woman was 33 years old singer, songwriter United States. Wafah also known as sosialite and models in the country led by Barack Obama. His father, Yeslam bin Laden is Osama bin Laden's half-brother. While her mother, Carmen bin Ladin, is a woman of mixed blood Switzerland and Iran, which comes from the illustrious family.

Wafah spent his childhood in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Soon, he moved to Geneva, Switzerland, with his two brothers daughter Najia (30 years) and Noor (20 years). In 1988, both her parents separated, then divorced in 2006.

His father reportedly never spoke with Wafah and her sisters since the age of 15. Wafah then change the last name Bin Ladennya with the name of the mother

More deaths on Syria's 'day of defiance'

Up to 30 reportedly killed in the cities of Homs and Hama, as protesters around the country take to the streets.

Activists claim that up to 30 people have been killed in Syria where thousands have taken to the streets for another day of anti-government rallies, dubbed a "day of defiance". Human rights group Insan said that at least 16 people had been killed in the central city of Homs, six in Hama and two in Jableh. It said the total death toll was 26 but didn't specify where the other two deaths occurred.

A human rights activist told the Associated Press news agency that 30 people had died, while Syrian state television said an army officer and four police were killed in Homs by a "criminal gang".

Security forces killed four protesters in the city of Deir al-Zor, a local tribal leader told Reuters.

Al Jazeera could not independently verify the reports because of restrictions on reporting in the country.

Activist Najati Tayara said security forces opened fire to disperse protests that broke out after noon prayers in Homs.

"We were chanting 'The people and the army are one' and 'The people want to topple the regime'," a witness told Al Jazeera over the phone. "Then security and thugs opened fire." 

The sound of continuous gunfire was audible over the phone, as well as people shouting "There are snipers on the rooftops".

There were also reports that live ammunition had been fired in the Damascus suburb of Tel, wounding several protesters.

Reem Haddad, a spokeswoman for the Syrian information ministry, denied in a phone interview with Al Jazeera that she had any knowledge that Syrian protesters had been killed on Friday.

She said a planned visit by a UN delegation aimed at investigating the situation in Syria would be a positive thing for the government.

"The Syrian government is not worried, because there is nothing wrong," Haddad said.

UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon said on Friday that Syria had agreed to allow UN teams to enter the country and check the humanitarian situation there.

Mobitel, the first in South Asia to successfully demonstrate LTE, achieving a data rate of 96 Mbps

Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel, the National Mobile Telecom Service Provider, announced today that it has carried out a successful trial of LTE (Long Term Evolution) Technology achieving speeds of up to 96 Mbps. Having launched the first Super-3.5G HSPA network in South Asia in December 2007, and subsequently carr

ied out trial of HSPA+, MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) with downlink speeds of up to 28 Mbps in 2009, another first in the region, Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel has broken the speed barrier even further to demonstrate broadband speeds of up to 96Mbps in downlink and 49Mbps in uplink using LTE technology, and setting another record in the region for the third consecutive time.

Mr. Nimal Welgama, Chairman Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel said, "Technology advances are among the key drivers that push outwards a country's Production Possibility Frontier catalyzing economic growth. As such, the National Mobile Telecom Service Provider, Mobitel has committed to embrace and offer the latest and the most advanced technologies that are needed for Sri Lanka's rapid development. We strongly believe that embracing latest ICT technologies like LTE will lay the most conducive infrastructure for other sectors to grow and blossom at a fast pace leading Sri Lanka towards a fully developed nation."



The prime factor behind the super-fast speeds demonstrated in LTE technology when compared to existing and most advanced 3G technologies is that the spectral efficiency is 4 to 5 times greater in LTE than in the most advanced 3G technologies. The use of OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) carrier modulation in LTE allows easy upward scalability for higher bandwidth requirements, coupled with MIMO technology, which effectively uses multiple antennae in both the Terminal Device (Data dongle, Tablet PC/Smart Phone etc.) and radio network to transmit and receive multiple streams of information within the same spectrum. The demonstration was carried out in the 2.6GHz frequency range, and initiatives are under way to explore operations at other spectrum bands for commercial deployment.

Witnessing this trial at Mobitel's Flagship Care Centre Mr. Anusha Palpita, The Director General of Telecommunications said "TRCSL is committed to assist all the telecommunication operators in Sri Lanka to develop world class telecommunication network facilities in the country. The spectrum allocation for the commercial operation of LTE will soon be finalized where the operators will be able to launch nationwide enhanced ICT infrastructure to benefit all businesses and consumers in Sri Lanka through this latest evolution in mobile broadband technology."

This LTE trial not only demonstrated the superiority of LTE technology but it also strengthened Mobitel's confidence and ability in the timely commercial deployment of a LTE ready network. As such, Mobitel hopes to leverage on this trial to set up a commercial network that will build on the immense potential this technology offers for a wide variety of end-user offerings.ZTE corporation of China was selected by Mobitel as its technology partner to deploy this state-of-the-art LTE ready Next-Generation-Network.
