The High Commission of India in Colombo yeasterday completely rejected the funny statement made by D.M. Jayaratne ( Prime Minister ) that there are 3 LTTE Terrorist Training camps operating at a secret locations in Tamil Nadu.D.M. Jayaratne, when delivering the opening speech of the emergency debate in the House on Wednesday said LTTE cadres are being trained in Tamil Nadu to target leading Indian politicians.
Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe countered the Prime Minister saying there could not be any element of truth in this statement. " Had there been any such issue, it should have been taken up by the leaders of the two countries" Opposition Leader said.
Most Political analysts says, DM was told to mention this in parliement by Percy Mahinda who fears of loosing power like in some other countries which is happening now. Also he use this on order to overcome oppostion members and journalists from going against the goverment.
